This is a 45 minute drop-off class. Take a break and let your kids enjoy this enriching class!
Art Together is a “parent and me” type of class where preschoolers can get creative and get messy while making colorful, magical memories. Art Together offers a joyful morning of songs, stories and process art. Your little one is bursting with personality and individuality. Art Together will nurture and celebrate their uniqueness with this introduction to expressing oneself through art. This is a 2 hour parent or childcare provider & child class – no drop offs.
Art House 7 is a small, private art studio in Arlington that offers small group classes for children and adults. They offer fun and extraordinary new art classes this fall for preschoolers and teens. We all know that kids love to create, and that sometimes art can be very messy. At Art House 7, kids, parents and caregivers can have all the fun without the worry of paint getting on their own floor and furniture. The 2-story studio has been offering a comfortable space for artists since it opened in 2015. Students are able to explore a wide variety of art media — from water colors to paper mache and ceramics to line drawing. Instructors are all experienced teachers, and classes are small so that students get plenty of attention.
For artistic kids who can’t fit art into their middle or high school schedules, Art House 7 offers a 2-D Art For Teens on Wednesday and 2-D and 3-D Art for Teens on Friday. This is a perfect class for artsy kids who love art and for those interested in building a portfolio for college. These small group classes allow students to select their own medium and project or work with instructors to pick a project. Middle and high school students can choose drawing, acrylic or oil painting and printmaking. In this independent art class, students can direct their own artistic vision or work with the instructor to develop projects. Class size is limited to 5 students. All materials except oil painting supplies are included in tuition.
Art House 7 has even become a popular location for private birthday parties for kids as well as offering paint/wine nights for adults.
Art House 7 was born out of a friendship between two teachers. Elizabeth Ashley was retiring after teaching for 30 years as the art teacher at Taylor Elementary School. Arlington mom and painter, Anne Browne, was teaching art to small groups of children in her home. They created the Art House 7 studio to share their love of art with the community. The studio is tucked into a business park off of Lee Highway, very close to the Lee Harrison shops, with easy parking on site.
